Detail

The Beadtown Bazaar is a collection containment, modeled after my idea of a Colorado mining town General Store.  I imagined the tunnels underground and the workmen going down and bringing back up treasures, that are revealed when the doors are opened.  Anything one needs to dress up in the frontier is there: shiny crystals and tumbled stones, bracelets, earrings and many many necklaces. The little containers are color coordinated to the color of the jewels they contain.  Many of the bead compositions are my own work; some are antique, and all are different from one another...  and I keep adding more!

The box is made of an under-structure of wood, very strong to hold the weight of the contents.  The wood is covered with machine-pieced fabric mounted on board.  The containers are of fabric-covered board.  The top of the roof lifts up for more storage.
