This is a wool tapestry picture created with hand woven fabric, cut, appliqued and embroidered.  The image is a true thing, because for a while I lived in a country place where there was an ancient maple tree.  It must have been 200 years old, with it's 20+ foot circumference, and it dominated the swampy valley it lived in.  I loved that tree and considered it my friend, and listened to it as the seasons passed.
